While everyone strives to be healthy and fit, a fit looking person may not be healthy! As a 50 year old trainer who has strived all these years to understand disease prevention, longevity, fitness and health and how they all are entwined, I have found myself wanting to pay homage equally to all these components. The worst thing, you as a potential client wants to see is an out of shape trainer who you are going to pay to get you in shape! So while the best trainers keep themselves in tip top shape, I as a Health & Fitness Professional wonder.... are they healthy? The answer is most are not!
But putting that aside for a moment, you the potential fitness training client, in most cases, want to get fit and be more healthy, for various reasons. So, for you, achieving fitness goals and getting in tip top shape, along with improving your health, is the perfect reason to choose Flex-Fit Training. With over 18 years experience designing fitness training programs for clients of any age and fitness level, we realized early on that a total fitness plan, where one achieves REAL measureable results, is one that includes Resistance Training, Activities that burn calories (Cardio, especially Interval Training) and Nutrition (one's diet). And by devoting effort equally for Resistance Training, Calorie Burning Activities, and cleaner Eating, you now are affecting both Health and Fitness.
Getting started: With Flex-Fit Training, it starts with a FREE consultation, about 45 minutes, to gather information on your fitness goals, learn about any orthopedic limitations, any medications you are on and the nuts & bolts of being a Flex-Fit Training client. You will tour our training facilities, both indoors and outdoors and sample some of today's core-engaged functional training exercises. Just a FYI, machines are not personal fitness training!
Once you are a client, we will schedule a fitness assessment where we gather a baseline of health & fitness data as your starting point, such as; Basal metabolic rate, Resting heart rate, Body Fat % with professional calipers, Antioxidant scan score, Flexibility test, Aerobic capacity test, etc. Then from your consultation information, medical history questionnaire information and results of baseline testing, your training program is designed. The first 6-10 sessions, if you are sedentary or have a low fitness level, will be spent conditioning your body, readying it for future more advanced workouts. Workouts that include progression and overload in micro and macro cycles, thus fine-tuning helping you achieve your fitness goals. A total plan will include calorie burning activities here in our training studio and/or on your own, understanding better nutrition for both fitness and health, along with your exciting, results producing training sessions.
